  • Bun, ..any new PowerReview connecters out there?
  • Yes! A testing environment!!!! And by this I mean either: 1) An actual testing account (at a reasonable cost) 2) The ability to use our own accounts BUT with a testing version CoA and the ability to flag transactions as "test" so they hit the test CoA and not the real one. I mean something more like yahoo store. You have…
  • There is one problem with this. We would LIKE to have descriptive image URLs (like dog.gif and not /core/media/media.nlid=3488&c=363017&h=b41e28416471be7993 ) and with the regular NS item tag (of storedisplayimagehtml) we wouldn't get descriptive URLS ... but we would get some descriptive attributes added to our image ...…
  • Ahhh found it. <img src='<%=getCurrentAttribute('item','storeDisplayImage')%>' border='0' height='120'>
  • I have thought about that sizing/performance question, but never researched the answer. I would think that using two unique full-sized images would use more bandwidth, but would be rendered faster by the CPU after it has downloaded. Using one large image for both icons and "actual product images" would use less bandwidth…
  • Bill, I think he meant to say that the NETSUITE METHOD of making them case insensitive would hurt the page rankings. It isn't that "having a specific case" makes a URL rank higher or lower ...it is that in NetSuite World, having case SENSITIVE URLs currently makes them rank higher ...until NetSuite finds a better way to…
  • The more I think about this problem ...the more it bothers me. Several years back we paid thousands of dollars to shorten our domain to get a simpler URL. We went from standard-signs.com to signsdirect.com and we did it to get a shorter (quicker to type) domain and we did it to get away from the hyphen or dash because is…
  • This explains the problem I was having YESTERDAY. What a debacle by NS!!! so, if a user capitalizes just one letter in any URL (other than the root URL) or if we accidently capitalize a letter in any HTML links in any of our many custom designed NS hosted web pages ... we get "page not found" ...bad URL error in our…
  • Wow, Just got the price from NS on what each additional site will cost per month?? Thanks, but no thanks.... Sounds like our response to the eBay feature. It was priced out of the realm of economic feasibility (for our expected eBay volume). We waited in anticipation and got more and more excited and then got blue balled…
  • Maybe the development team at NS could look at this web page... http://www.google.com/base/api/demo/html/demo.html For a "real" Froogle (Google base) integration, we would need some missing fields ADDED to the items in NetSuite. We can't do a Froogle(Google Base), Shopzilla/Shopping.com or Yahoo Shopping integration…
  • We gave up on exporting from NS. We export all fields as CSV and import into a filemaker pro database and crunch them down and export to the various feeds from filemakerPro. You could do something similar in Excel, but in filemaker you have ability to make scripts that can export data using pre-defined "rules" and also…
  • Again with the add-on's. I thought everything except for "payroll" was included with the full version of NetSuite... see first column at... http://www.netsuite.com/portal/resource/detailchart.shtml I guess the word "basic" should be put in more places on that chart. T
  • Edwin, There is no clear answer...... but you may find some information in this thread (especially the last few posts)... https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=5125
  • When I placed a order through our web-store (3 or 4 days ago), it flowed from "log-in" to "address" to "payment" to "review & submit" BUT it didn't go from "review & submit" to "order successfully completed". After "review & submit", it went to a cart summary page (like the same one you see after adding an item to the…
  • Is their a SEO advantage to having multiple specific sites versus one more comprehensive site? In other words, if you have "toys.com" ...would it be advantageous to break it into several more specific web sites ...like "baby-toys.com" and "video-games.com" and "educational-toys.com"? I'm just trying to understand why some…
  • Has anybody made the Google cost per conversion report to include the "order totals"? I can see my percent of conversion in Google, but I have never learned how to pass the order-total variable to Google on the "order competed page". Can someone give me advise on that? T PS: I wonder if NetSuite doesn't like to give advise…
  • We just changed our NAV to top mouse-over menus and an altogether cleaner look. Is it "too stark" or just "nice and clean"? See...signsdirect.com One fancy WebStore feature is our item search that auto-suggests and then offers some result sorting. The "design online" tool and "art upload tools" in the custom plastic signs…
  • "The NS platform is a struggle to work with, but many work arounds later..." Ditto on that one
  • Really like the Menu on this... care to show how you did this? I know how to make those menus, but I don't want a menu that I must manually update with each back-office change to the category tree. Is there anyone out there with these types of mouse-over drop-down menus that is building them dynamically so that the NS…
  • Chris, Don't you have to manually populate those "roll over" category menu's on the left side? Last time I check there was no dynamic solution. -T
  • Some web stores that only cost $19.99 per month (and will remain nameless) offer semi-WYSIWYG webstore design features. I think that at what we pay, it should be included. T
  • perhaps you should start an NetSuite annual awards, there's some pretty strong sites here I just hope that they take notes on all of the web-store design features that require countless hours of web programmer modifications. NetSuite can then make many of those features standard easy to configure. One example is the…
  • Excellent web sites.. Just curious how much some of you have spent on your 3rd party web design services.
  • I haven't heard anything about FarApp. Has anyone in this group used them? Their prices are very reasonable, but I want to hear from someone who used their service. T
  • Our site is signsdirect.com and I tried adding something to our cart and then clicking on the "calculate shipping" button. Everything cart related was taking very long (1 minute +) for page loads. The shipping calculation tool took even longer and came up with no shipping cost when it finally finished. Browsing the store…
  • I have been using the netsuite connector with channel advisor and i am now moving over to marketworks for multiple reasons you could give me a call at 718-705-7383 Ext 205 i will be able to explain the functionality of the 2 and the reason for the switch Hillel Zafir, Are you happy with marketworks? Thanks, Tom
  • I wonder if the PPC "Amazon Product Ads" has a higher ROI than selling on amazon and paying their 15% commission. http://www.amazon.com/Advertising/b?ie=UTF8&node=276241011
  • Do you sell for the same price as your regular NS webstore or do you add the Amazon fees to the cost of each item that you post on Amazon? If you do add extra to cover Amazon fees; can you automate the markup? I ask because our margins are so low that we would need to raise the cost of most things that we sell if we sold…
  • Yea, NS has been quiet in this group as of late. NS, can you tell us when your email will be fixed?
