    Hello @all,

    we have the same error in our company.

    Is there a timeline when the bug will be fixed and there will be a new version?

    Thank you very much!

    Same issue here. Is there somewhere we can see updates on this problem?

  • If you want to have some form of follow up on the progress, you will need to go through a SR, to be added to the people affected but the issue (the bug already exists, you will need to be linked to it).

    That's all you could try to have updates. Otherwise you need to wait for those with a SR open to post updates if/when they get them.

    Hi

    For those who are following this thread, I just to give you a heads up on this issue as I have also updated the KM article that Jeremy has mentioned - E-BIP/OAP/OAS: Template Builder - Addin using Office 365 Aug 1 Version 2407 (Build 17830.20138) (Doc ID 3041646.1) with the following:

    The BI Publisher development team has reviewed the issue in detail and determined that the issue is as a result of a Microsoft Office/Windows Update which Oracle has no authority over in making any changes and are hoping that future updates from Microsoft corrects this specific issue.

    In the meantime, you can attempt the following workarounds to see which works better in your instance as it has shown for some customers facing the same issue.

    1. Ideally a newer update from Microsoft that resolves the issue is preferred and so to check if new update is available from Microsoft and see if the update resolves the issue.

    • Windows > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates > Install
    • Word > Home > Account > Update Options > Update Now (to get a newer version)

    2. Check/Install to see if any Visual Studio updates are available (should override the Windows update caused the Template Builder problem)

    3. Removing tbaddin(if it exists)

    • Word > File > Options > Add-ins > Manage Disabled Item > Remove tbaddin (if it exists) > Click Manage Com Add-ins > Check Oracle Analytics Template Builder for Word 64-bit > Restart Word

    If any of the 3 above does not resolve the issue,

    4. Removing installed individual KBs applied after July 2023 (possibly KB5040562, KB5037932 and KB5040430)

    • Windows > Settings > Update & Security > View Update History > Uninstall Updates > specific "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB...)" and "Update for Microsoft Windows (KB...)" under Microsoft Windows

    Note: After each update is uninstalled, typically Windows will restart - Once done, trying Opening Word to see if it starts with Template Builder - Keep on removing the KBs until Word starts with Template Builder properly - July 09 Version 2406 (Build 17726.20160) is the last know working build

    @Arif -Oracle

    The Doc ID has disappeared from MOS for me. Does it need to be marked public or something else so I can see it again?

    @Jeremy

    The Doc is going to be public very shortly - just waiting for the internal process on reviewing the changes prior to it getting publicly publishing it to get completed - however the document has been updated with the exact update that I have provided on my previous post.

    Hi,

    Sorry but not working - every time the Add in is still disabled.

    Greetings

    If this is on Microsoft to fix, are they aware of the issue?
