Create my own checkout button

Hi,

I want to create my own checkout button so I can finally integrate analytics. I notice that the advice in NS is not to turn on WSDK if you host your website in Netsuite also. However, I have enabled it and my site is working ok. Is there potential problems that I will face by having:

Custom homepage which brings in the tabs apart from checkout as will inactivate it if poss. Will inactivating it actually stop checkout working?
