Blanket Purchase Order and Outsource Manufaturing

Will blanket purchase order work in tandem with the outsource manufacturing feature?
All products/assembly items will be manufactured by a 3rd party. Depending on the item some cases with be tolling (all raw materials sent to CM) and part tolling (only packaging provided) and to some true turnkey.
Anyway, in some cases there is an agreed number of units to be placed to the CM thus the need for a blanket purchase order.
Created a blanket PO for the actual assembly item and it was able to create a Purchase order. However the way outsource manufacturing Purchase order work is that the purchase order is not exactly on the assembly item but on the tolling charge/outsource charge. Tried to edit the form to the outsource manufacturing purchase order form but that seemed to have removed the blanket purchase order link.
