Upcoming changes to the Core Administration Permissions feature

This notice applies to customers where the Core Administration Permissions feature is not enabled in your account, but you have roles that have Core Administration Permissions assigned.

What is changing in NetSuite 2021.2?

As of 2021.2, it will no longer be necessary to enable the corresponding feature in your account in order to assign Core Administration Permissions to a role. Core Administration Permissions will be available for all roles by default.

Recommended actions

You should do the following to prepare to enable the Core Administration Permissions feature as of 2021.2.

As soon as possible, review and update the configuration of roles in your account to prevent users with roles that have Core Administration Permissions assigned from having unintended access that they don’t need.
