How can I set up very restricted permissions for a role?

We have a role that we want to only be able to edit sales orders and I only gave them permission to edit sales orders and view the one search on the role record, but when I use the role, I still have access to change a lot of other things. Can I restrict permissions for a role so they can only view one search and edit the sales orders on that search?

Hi @RachaelRahe,

You only need 2 types of permission to allow a user to view the saved search and edit the sales order.

However, there are other records that are linked to these permissions such as Reallocation. Sales Orders can also be visible when printing checks and forms. So users who have Sales Order permission can have access to these records as well. An enhancement request is filed under #84148 Reallocate Items Does Not Have Its Own Permission; It's Linked With the Permission for Sales Orders.
