NSC | Using Workflow to run and display Calculations on Non-Stored Fields
Setting a Formula or a Summary Search during Custom Field setup are not the only ways to display calculations in Non-Store Value fields. The Set Field Value Workflow action can be used as well. See the screenshots below for a sample setup:

By doing this, you will be able to take advantage of what Workflow can do that the other methods can't.
