Item Group Header Line Data on a Transaction

Good day all. I have, what I think to be a simple issue, if someone can explain to me why it's happening.

We utilize Item Groups to hold Inventory Items and "extra" costs (like Tariff) for our sales order. On our Groups, Inventory Items and Non-Inventory items, we have a field called Customer Item Name.

When I add a Item Group to a transaction, but before clicking add, this field is populated.

However, after I click add, this field blanks out on the header line. The field does populate on the subordinate lines.

How to I make it so the header line stays populated with the Customer Item Name? Like below.
