I want to transfer non inventory items, how can I record the shipping information and charges?

Intercompany transfer orders do not allow non inventory items. We want to send a box of springs and other random parts intercompany but still want to see tracking information and charge for the shipping.

How could I achieve this?

We're thinking of just making a purchase order to UPS and entering the tracking information on there with a shipping expense.
