Change Company Field on Contact Record Still Shows Under Previous Company

We have done a CSV update to nearly 1000 contact records to change the company field. After changing the company in the contact record, those contracts are still showing under the previous company.

Is there any way to remove the contact from the previous company other than manually removing it?
