Backend Activation improves the performance of the activation process by using MapReduce Scripts (SuiteScript 2) onwards jobs. These jobs allow us to handle large amounts of data, it can be divided into small and independent parts, and these can be parallelized. Users are also able to leave the Activation Manager page after throwing the activation.
Extension Manager is the entry point to manage the activations step by step. This can be access by going to Commerce > Extensions > Extension Manager
The screenshot below shows the parts of the Extension Manager.
1. New Activation – Generates a fresh activation for a domain and website. If you need to activate a theme and extensions for the first time on a domain, click this button. See Creating a New Activation for instructions on creating a new one.
2. Edit – For the associated domain, click Edit next to any existing activation to add, remove, or edit themes and extensions.
3. Website – provides a list of the website linked to the activation.
4. Domain – enumerates the domain that has been activated. One domain per activation is permitted by NetSuite.
5. Subsidiary – Lists the subsidiary associated with the activation. This applies to SCIS domains only.
6. Location – Lists the location associated with the activation. This applies to SCIS domains only.
7. Theme – provides the current list of the activation's active themes. This column lists the theme that NetSuite is currently processing. A single theme is allowed for each domain/activation.
8. Active Extensions – lists every extension that is active for the activation. This column lists the extensions that NetSuite is presently processing. You have the option to enable all the extensions or none at all.
9. Status – Lists one of the following statuses:
a. Complete – final status, activation was completed successfully.
b. In Process – Indicates that the activation is currently processing.
c. Pending – first status of an activation process. If exists another activation in progress when one new activation is thrown the current activation remains in pending while the previous one does not end.
d. Error – a final status when any job fails then the activation fails.
10. Last Activation Date – provides a list of the most recent activation date. The date of the most recent activation attempt is shown if an activation fails.
11. Activated By – Lists one of the following IDs:
a. The ID of the bundle that completed the automatic activation during its installation. You can select the link to see more information about automatic activation.
b. The ID of a user within the current account who performed the activation.
