NSC | Saved Search > Save As > Do you want to overwrite XXX?

edited Oct 11, 2024 8:09PM in Saved Searches

Scenario

User is trying to make a copy of a saved search, and uses the "Save As" functionality. However, they get a pop-up message upon trying to save.

Message: Do you want to overwrite XXXX?

Solution

This message is encountered when the Search Title of the "new" (copied) search was not changed and is exactly the same as the original one.

To be able to create a copy of the search and "Save As", user needs to change the Search Title before clicking the Save As button.

This assigns a new ID to the new search, leaving the original unchanged.

Howdy, Stranger!
