If you're utilizing the SuiteCommerce Extension Management bundle version 2019.1 or above and are looking to enable a theme or extension, you need to log in as an administrator. However, if the task requires activation by someone with a different role, administrators have the flexibility to configure the customdeploy_ext_mech_installer_event deployment script. This script allows the assignment of this capability to other roles within the system, granting them the necessary permissions to activate themes and extensions.
To set up a role to activate themes and extensions:
- In NetSuite, go to Customization > Scripting > Script Deployments.
2. Set the following filters:
- Type: User Event
- API Version: 2.0
3. Click Edit next to the customdeploy_ext_mech_installer_event ID.
4. Set the Execute as Role field to Administrator..
5. In the Audience tab, add the desired role to the Roles list. (To choose multiple roles, hold down the CTRL key while clicking each one.)
