Custom Ordering on Income Statement
Our accounting department recently changed the Account Numbers on some of our accounts so that they would appear in a different location on the CoA (technically, by virtue of number, to appear with other Cost of Goods Sold accounts instead of with other Expense accounts. However, the default Income Statement organizes and categorizes the accounts by type and not by number. Is there a way that we can easily restructure the income statement so that the accounts appear in the desired order?
For example, the accounts highlighted below changed from being in the 6000s to being in the 7000s:
