Should you sell different BoMs or different Assemblies?
The usual example is that the Assembly Item is a Bike and I would have a BoM for a red bike and a BoM for a blue bike. The blue bike has two revisions for where we started using a more waterproof type of paint.
Right so far?
But if I want to specifically sell Blue Bikes and Red Bikes to my customers, that doesn't work, does it? In this example I'm making both bikes but my stores are just selling 'Bikes'. I'm producing both colours, but it's up to me to manage my inventory in some other way if I need to produce more red bikes if they sell better.
