"Take me to my largest sales order for this month."
"What invoices haven't been paid yet?"

Morning @Bee Yook - Hope you are having a good Friday! We toyed with the idea of intercompany billing for a bit. It involved setting up intercompany AP and AR accounts, and then setting up customers that represented each of our subsidiaries (so we had an actual customer to bill), then eliminations took care of things at…

Morning @Kedalene - Thank you for the screenshots. I see three different dollar amounts - a JE line with an amortization schedule for $240, another JE for $280.48, and then an actual Amortization Schedule that shows $384.00. For sake of conversation I will assume that all of these are actually the same thing as the vendor…

Morning @Kedalene - Not sure what your support level is with NetSuite. We have Premium Support and I recently had to call about a technical issue for the first time. They had me up and running in about 30 minutes - it was a really good experience. I had spent all morning trying to figure something out, and they were able…
-
Afternoon @Kedalene - it may be good to have some screen shots of where you are expecting to see it. Is it possible that the bill amortizes in a different period than your JEs? Or that it sits in a different subsidiary / location? Just some thoughts off the top of my head.
-
Thank you @Elychelle Gulen-Oracle for the clarification. I will take a look at that enhancement! Christopher
-
Morning @Deb in UK , I think you journal entry approach is correct. We not loaded historical transactions per se, but I have loaded lots of historical balances. Importing info that like tends to go smoothly with the CSV templates. And assuming your receivables / cash in and payables / cash out net to -$0- you will not…

Hello @Clarisa De Torres-Oracle - Thank you for the response. Yes, using the Internal ID worked for uploading!
-
Afternoon @Tiru Chembeti - these accounts are officially Other Asset accounts in NetSuite. We use them for tracking our Due To/From between subsidiaries, but they are not setup as AP/AR account types.
-
Thank you @Ivy Lopez-Oracle !
-
I will go with B as well.
-
Morning @Joahnna Given Uy-Oracle Apologize for the delay! I did just get to try this and it seems to work!! I ended up using our location address (rather than subsidiary), but using your steps above and substituting location for subsidiary got me what I was after. Thank you for your help!
-
Morning @Clarisa De Torres-Oracle Thank you for the followup. I think I essentially did what you suggested: 1. Go to Reports > Financial > Income Statement > Customize Summary 2. Under More Options tab 3. Select the Customized Income Statement Detail report on the Drill Down Report filter 4. Click Save. Now this saved…
-
@Clarisa De Torres-Oracle - Thank you for the answer and the followup! Yes, that did provide the customization I was after. Now - is there a way to make that view my default view when clicking into the Income Statement? When I rerun the income statement and click a number, I am still taken to the NetSuite default view of…
-
Thank you @Joahnna Given Uy-Oracle . I will give this a look (likely tomorrow) and let you know!
-
Thank you for the response @Kristoffer Viray-Oracle . Will do!
-
Afternoon @Joahnna Given Uy-Oracle - thank you for the reply. Yes, the intent is to have the subsidiary's address there next to the logo rather than the main Corporate address. I do not have an invoice to share with a different address, as they all default to that one, but you get the idea. Ultimately I would like to show…
-
Appreciate the question @Nickoletta Gounaris . Will be curious to see the answer as I believe we could benefit from this as well!
-
Hello @Joahnna Given Uy-Oracle - apologies for the delay. Please see the screenshot below: That PathWell address shows up on every invoice regardless of subsidiary. It would be nice to have our VA invoices (such as this) show our VA/WV subsidiary address, our CT invoices show our CT subsidiary address, etc. The invoice…

Afternoon @Kedalene Please refer to the screenshots below. They show the income statement, though this also works for the balance sheet. Simply select "Subsidiary" in the bottom right hand box for Column, and your subsidiaries will show across the top in their own columns for income statement and balance sheet reporting.
-
Morning @Kedalene I believe if you select Subsidiary, it will show your subsidiaries as columns on your report (similar to showing an income statement for a given period by subsidiary.) Can let @Patrick Fresnosa-Oracle correct me if I am wrong. Hope you have a great day!
-
Afternoon @nir.levy You may need to create new items. I know I have done this in the past as we have changed accounts for items / etc. Not sure if this is an option for you, but it is ultimately what I did as a workaround. Will also let the gurus chime in. Hope you have a great day!
-
Having run a number of trial balances for year-end reporting, this enhancement will be useful. Thank you @Kedalene for asking and @Patrick Fresnosa-Oracle and @Micah Timbol-Oracle for answering. I will check that out!
-
Morning @nir.levy Just to add - the ability to change the income statement account of an item without changing all the historical transactions is also an Enhancement Request: Number 605686.
-
Thank you @Stephen N , @Robert Suggs , and @Micah Timbol-Oracle I was able to rebuild connections and things seem to be working okay. Will keep an eye on it, but not seeing the error messages I was seeing before.

Hello @NoshinYZNetSuite-Oracle Another thought after perusing this website: https://www.sqlshack.com/understanding-sql-server-case-statement/#:~:text=The%20SQL%20Server%20CASE%20Statement%20consists%20of%20at,when%20none%20of%20the%20WHEN%20conditions%20return%20true. Perhaps you do not need the second CASE WHEN. If there…
-
Morning @User_E0AD5 I do not know a ton about this, but it appears as though your formula is picking up both of those dates and giving you the maximum value (i.e.: February 1, 2023). If you want it to stop evaluating if it finds a value for the first CASE WHEN, do you need to put an "End" before the second CASE WHEN? Just…
-
Thank you for the insight @Edwards_05 !
-
Morning @Dext3r , Hope you are having a great day. The purchase price(s) at the bottom of your screen allow you to set prices in individual currencies: If you just have one currency, you can ignore this column when setting up a new item. Hope this helps!
-
Afternoon @Micah Timbol-Oracle I do not have an internal ID column - but I do see this. The failure reasons seem to be the same. Is that helpful?
-
Morning @Dext3r - you likely need to add that year to your account in general. If you go to Setup - Accounting - Manage Accounting Periods you can add the period needed and it should be available across all functions of your account.
