hey Tom, Why not create a survey, in something like survey monkey and place a link to that survey in here, that way users will be taken out of the forum to post question results, which you can then post on your blog? ....Also it will give you a nice chart of results, rather than needing to drill through a thread like this.…

Sorry, Tom, I am not comfortable with e-mailing anything I am not posting here. Perhaps it is my own sense of integrity, but I think NS should have full view of what I have to say, both good and bad. The email request was not my idea + NS will be able to have "full view" of your post regardless if it is in a blog or in…

Actually, it is Windows 8.1 with Internet Explorer 11 that is the incompatible combo. That combo won't work with either of our barcode scanners. I've tried scanning into the NetSuite search box and into the Google Search box. It drops digits. The same scanners work fine scanning into excel or any other program other than a…

Bar Code Scanner + windows 8 + Internet Explorer + NetSuite = incompatibility We're stuck with Internet Explore because we use Ozlink and it only works with IE. We'er stuck with NetSuite for obvious reasons. Anyhow, I've tried two different scanners and we have the same issue. They won't scan into the search box in…

It would be cool if they could also allow some companies (if the performance need ever arises) to run on a local dedicated server on the company's LAN. I know that would pose the risk of somebody hacking NS and making a stand-alone version that they can use for free...BUT if NS makes it require a monthly update (downloaded…

Do you have pick, pack, ship enabled ?. because I think you implied that you did (you mentioned packed). Which raises the question - how did you bill in advanced of fulfillment - I think the system stops you from doing that We do have pick/pack/ship, but we call it pick/"pack or fax PO"/ship. When we fulfill from a…

You asked 3 different people and you will get 3 answers. Because there are 3 answers and it depends on a. the understanding of your posting and b. more importantly, the interpretation of. My point was that I shouldn't have to ask because the system would help me through the transaction or make it easy enough to figure out.…

It looks like NS isn't even in agreement on how to edit this order. This highlights the convoluted nature of NS and reinforces the need for a order-adjustment-wizard to simplify these transactions. Malin's answer is in the post above. A NS support person emailed me this as the preferred method... The Cash Sale Refund is…

> When you create the refund, it's assumed the items that were billed > are being returned to you, i.e. creating inventory on hand. It has no > context of the separate item fulfillment. Yea, but the fulfillment was changed from 50 down to 20. Forget about the refund or the SO (which has been closed). I would think that NS…

Thanks Ray, Is a RMA the recommend procedure for such order adjustments? Another person here does it differently than you or I do it and maybe we should switch to their method. They refund the entire 1st order and then close it and all associated records. They then make a copy of the 1st order and adjust it to the way the…

We use fax-a-way to send and efax to receive. efax DOES give us a local fax number (which is why we use them to receive) and fax-a-way works better for sending from NetSuite. Is your alternative to fax through a phone line using a "stand alone fax machine" or from a "fax modem"? An extra dedicated phone line for faxing…

I have learned more else about these changes? Old way... http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/prepare/oversize.html New Way... http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/prepare/dimweight2007.html I wonder if NS will eventually need to add an area for each item's dimensions to accommodate these changes. Malin, What is the recommended order alteration procedure for the exact scenario that I have encountered? -TOM

Faxaway... because it references the faxed PO number when it emails you a confirmation for failed faxes. On a different note ...NS needs some way to make it only send a "fax confirmation" to the NS user that sent the fax. We have one faxaway account and the account is set to send confirmations to person A, but when person…

Never mind. I started working. I guess there is just a 10 minute lag before an image becomes available. Ten what size / format for company image on pdf layouts Comentario por Tom Dalton Sep 15, 2010 3:34PM

Jared, When I replace the <NLCOMPANY_LOGO> tag with <img src="URL">, I get a "?" where the logo would go on our HTML forms. I've tried various URLS by moving the image locations (where its stored in the file cabinet) and I've made sure that "available without login" is checked. Any ideas? -Ten what size / format for company image on pdf layouts Comentario por Tom Dalton Sep 15, 2010 3:19PM

Yes Evan, but I think that you may have missed the problem. There is NO drop ship button on the SO because we didn't click the drop ship box when we created the items that WE will usually ship from our inventory and we didn't make them drop-ship for a reason. We did NOT choose to make them drop ship because when we DO make…

I found the logo used on the web page that is accessible from the "Click here to manage your email subscription" link (on the bottom of marketing emails) is also the same logo used on our PDF forms. That is causing issues because we want a larger higher resolution logo on our printable PDF forms. The same logo is huge when…en what size / format for company image on pdf layouts Comentario por Tom Dalton Oct 27, 2010 2:27PM

How Evan? Our sales orders don't have ANY drop ship option or any option at all in the "create PO column" for any items that were created with the "drop ship" variable set to "no". Am I missing something? Tom

I wouldn't have to update the standard NS default customer center roll if NS didn't have so many errors in that role. The default customer center roll allows customers to use an "enter order" feature under the "my account" tab. That feature is riddled with problems. For instance, it disregards the financial terms that you…

It looks like the ability to mass updates default user rolls is slated for Q3 of 2008. You say... There is a feature to turn off external ordering without updating the customer role. It is called "Online Ordering" on the Web Site tab. We don't want "turn off external ordering" off ...we want it to be available, but we want…
-
NS has access to features and knowledge that we don't have. I am wondering if NS can offer this "mass change service" for free until they add it as a feature? Can someone at NS let us know if we can request a mass change of all existing customers to a new roll (so we can keep customers from encountering the problems that…

Fred, you inadvertently answered my question. Thanks

...there is no real documentation for the things you want to do (complex customizations).. but it makes the whole process that much more satisfying when you figure it out. You have quite the attitude David. Buddhist monks also like to scrub floors bigger than a basketball court with a toothbrush ...as part of their…

We're still in SiteBuilder. How much do you love SCA? Is it SCA ready for primetime? Do customizations have to be redone with every upgrade? That is a big deterrent for us. Every time we upgraded Reference checkout we had to manually redo all customizations. Terrible. Didn't want that mess for our entire site. Also, there…

I got 1/2 way there with reports/excel and then imported data into a custom item field called"sales rank" NetSuite. The only issue is getting a report of sales that includes "item internal ID" and puts all child sales numbers into the total for their parent. The "Sales by Item Summary" report was close, but I couldn't get…

Search Results: 38 results in 31.6836 seconds. Just took 31+ seconds to get to see the list of todays post. If faster, I sure haven't noticed. It is still "practically unusable". At only 30 or 40 posts per day.. I'm surprised this is considered one of your vender's larger forums that is so large that it breaks their…

We figured it out with the help of the UG admin. The performance issue is user specific. It might only effect very old accounts or accounts with a lot of posts. We created a new test user for the UG. When logged in with the test user I click "New Posts" and get… > Search Results: 200 results in 1.4040 seconds. When logged…
