Shall I use Barcode on items?

We are doing whole sale and all our items are matrix like:
polo tops, PS11--BLK.WHT.RED--1XL,PS11--BLK.WHT.RED--2XL,PS11--BLK.WHT.RED--3XL..
We have about 300 parent items, x colour x size, there are about 7,000 items.
My boss wants me to start using Netsuite Barcode function to improve:
1. Ware house will not pick wrong goods if they have to scan every individual item.
2. Supplier will be more careful if they have to stick the barcode on every garment. Currently they may pack wrong size in wrong box.
3. Easy for stock take.
I am not keen on using it. My point is:
