Inventory Planning - Stop "one-off" unique sales from impacting inventory levels.

We have a $20M 100 employee wholesale distribution client who is implementing  NetSuite.  They are concerned about how NetSuite calculates inventory levels.  They often have unique, large  orders that they do not want to factor into their demand planning. 

Has anyone successfully dealt with this issue?
