Assigning task/call to multiple customers

Is it possible to assign a task or phone call to multiple customers at once?

i.e. If we are attending a trade show in a particular state, to create a scheduled call to all customers in that state for an invitation or similar?  I suppose this could be done by exporting a CSV list of the customers and then importing a CSV for the task or phone call, but this seems tedious.
