Large Proposals

Is anyone else having troubles processing Large Proposals or Orders?
It seems that if we have over 20 lines on a proposal (which we have often) the system takes an average of 10 to 20 seconds to save the line & populated the next item.
Does anyone know why?
Is this happening to anyone else?
