Formatted text feature for mac/firefox has a bug

I was excited about the formatted text editor for mac/firefox, but I'm getting much less excited because it has several bugs.  The biggest one is that we can't paste text into it.  I copy formatted text from one web page, I switch to the NetSuite item that I am editing and I past the text into the item's "Store Description".  It shows up when pasted ...I click "save" ...I re-open the item and the "Store Description" field is blank.  I can paste unformated text when set to "HTML source code", but I can't paste when its set to "Formatted Text".
