Item Based Promotion Problem

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to offer my first Item based promotion of spend $100 and get item Y free.   The problem I am having is when I set my eligibility criteria the currency option in the drop down is not available.   It only lists units as an option.   Does anyone have any help on how to get currency as an option on promotions?   Thank you
