No Custom Record Referance in CRM Cases

I cannot seem to referance the Custom Form in Support Cases.  I can't referance them via saved searches and if I try and referance it in scrypt I get an error.

I have done this with transaction loads of times why does it not work with Cases is this another inconsistancy in netsuite or is there a good reason?
