Remove the Remove link?

Hello,

We have created a custom record (Listings) which is a child of the Customer record.  (Our customers place listings of equipment for sale on our website.)  We have created a tab on the Customer record to list all of that customer's Listings.  See the screenshot:

We would like to remove or hide the Remove link, as it is dangerous for us: without any confirmation dialogue, it will automatically remove the Customer from the Listing record.  This leaves a Listing active without a Customer (i.e., seller).

Does anyone know of a way to hide this Remove button?  Alternately, is there another way this information can be displayed on the Customer record that would not include such a link?
