Determine Record Type of a Saved Search?

This seems like it should be simple.  I can get a list of saved searches but I can't seem to figure out what the underlying record type is for each of them.

If all I have is a saved search ID and name, what do I do to get the underlying saved search record type?

Is there a best practice to get this information?
