Where does "add content" choices come from when personalising a dashboard?

Hi
I've recently started using netsuite and trying to customise a center with sales activities and reports portlets.
When I go and try customise a dashboard and it brings up the "add content" panel, how do I populate that with the portlets I wish to add to my dashboard?
I am the admin so I can access all the features.
