Calculating Markup amount

Hi,

I have two line items in invoice list.
first line item is an inventory item
second line item is the 1.5% markup for sale of the first item

i have a scenario to programatically add another line item which is 3% mrkup for sale of all the line items.but when the item is added it add 3% markup of the first item not second item.

How could i add the 3% markup of the second item also.
