Transaction PDF Form Layout Body Field Size

Hello,
We have a custom Packing Slip that is a Transaction PDF Form that some of the Body Field are to short to handle all the text being passed to the form. Is it possible to change the body field size?

I know seen that Even posted on a post a couple of years ago (2007??) that this wasn't possible but wondering if it has changed. Sorry I don't remember the post number or name and cannot find it again. This post mentioned changing the custom field type but I have years of data in this field that I will loose.
