Custom Pricing Best Practice
We have about 5,000 SKUs that we sell at 20-30 different price points (it is based on a customer-specific per square foot pricing where each sku is XX square feet). Using the built in price levels seems a bit onerous given the number of levels we would need. Using customer specific pricing seems problematic given the number of SKUS.
I am thinking a customization is the better way to go, based on client script when the item is added to the order. Would it be better to load the customer's Per square foot price when the form loads and then lookup the SQFT amount for the item when added, and then calculate and set the price as custom on the line item?
