Debugger-launched browser client code not working

I've been trying to debug a few SuiteLets using the Eclipse debugger. Everything starts fine and my breakpoints are hit, but the browser that Eclipse starts to host the script process isn't very usable. None of the center menus work, in fact none of the drop downs work either, it's as if the client code isn't running at all.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any known workarounds?
