Method to Ship to multiple locations from single Sales Order?

Our business occasionally sells large quantities but the items must be ship to different locations.  For example: I have widget-A and the customer purchased 10 of them, can I put in the quantity 10 and have the units shipped individually?  Or do I need to create 10 separate line items, or 10 separate sales orders?
