HEADS UP! - Receiving serialized items against an RMA does not check SN integrity

I was very disappointed and surprised (well.. not entirely) when I was receiving serialized units against a RMA for a SO that was already fulfilled.

[LIST=1]
[*]Enter Sales Order with serialized items
[*]Fulfill and supply serial numbers
[*]issue RMA for serialized items
[*]Receive and enter invalid SN
[*]Save
[/LIST]

There is no error or warning.  IMHO, This is a major breach in the "security and integrity" of the serial number system in NS.

I wanted to post here to alert others, see if anyone has encountered this and mainly..... to see if any of you think this is appropriate behavior?
