Kit/Package Items - Purchasing / Receiving / Fulfilling

I sell valves for engines both as "singles" and as "full sets"

the full sets are kit part numbers with a multiple qty of a single part number

So the single part number might be F1445P and the kit part number is F1445P-8

If I add the kit part number to a sales order, it shows up as 1 line-item. If all of the components of the kit are available in stock, it shows the kit as committed on the sales order, and ready to fulfill.

However, if the components of the kit ARE NOT available in inventory, it shows the kit as "backordered" on the sales order.
