Adding % domestic shipping costs to inventory automatically

Hi
  I'm a newbie (my employer is nearly 12 months into a NetSuite implementation & we're fast approaching go live!:eek: so much to do)
  We want to pick up a freight cost on our domestically sourced products(in inventory & consequently to COGS, freight is being costed directly to a freight P&L account); landing costs look to be the easiest way to do this but I need to make this an automatic charge as I'm not fancying getting our staff to manually add a % freight cost to each item fulfillment (as it'll never happen, they've never had to think of it before).
