Inventory KPI shows zero and it shouldn't

Inventory KPI shows zero and it shouldn't.  We have inventory items and we have inventory of those items.  I can go to the items and see a value for what we have in inventory and I can also see them as assets on my "Balance Sheet".  Why does my inventory KPI show zero?
