Profitability of Kits?

Hi all -

I'm looking to create a search or a report that will show me the profitability of kit items.  Unfortunately, the standard profitability reports completely ignore kits, which seems ridiculous to me considering the kit functionality is there, wouldn't business owners want this information?

Basically, I just want to compare the selling price of the kit vs. the purchase price of all the components in a kit and get a sense of the profit.

Does anyone know how I might go about doing this?
