Creating a report showing kit quantity available for sale
I need help creating a report which lists our various kits and the quantity available for sale of each one. This seems very basic to me. A kit is made up of members (which hold the inventory). The quantity available for sale is the lowest quantity available in any of the members.
Can anyone offer assistance? We tried using assemblies instead of kits but the problem is we sell both the kit and also the member separately. When we were using assemblies, we were continuously building and unbuilding them and my inventory manager had little time for anything else.
I need to get this information to be able to accurately forecast our inventory purchase. We have two major & relatively short selling seasons and if we forecast incorrectly, everything falls to pieces. The logic for this is obviously used in NetSuite because the quantity available shows up on the line items when entering sales orders. NetSuite doesn't populate the available quantity field for kits and the only way I can get these figures is to manually review the member quantities for each kit and this is very time consuming.
