Filtering filters? possible?

Does anyone know if it's possible to apply a criteria to a filter?

I am trying to do a transaction search, but limit it to a particular group of companies we do business with.

Currently the filter shows every single vendor,customer etc,because it's a transaction search :mad:

Any amazing ideas,please?
