Filter down from Multiselect field

Hi All,

I got an issue when I was trying to filter down a saved search using Multiselect custom field. Actually I want to display this field on my search footer and make it multiselect as well. But the system itself does not allow me to show this field in the report footer and show it as a multiselect field.

Does anybody know any particular reasons behind this?
If this is an issue, can somebody propose a solution to overcome this scenario?
