Viewing full credit card numbers through Web Services

Using the Administrator role through Web Services, when I pull any credit cards from a Customer record, the value of the ccNumber attribute is the "hidden" version of the credit card number, e.g.: ************1234

I need to retrieve the full credit card number. Is this simply not supported, or am I retarded?

PS: I'm using Ruby, if anyone wants to offer some language-specific assistance.
