Last Modified Customers

If I query NetSuite for Customers who were last modified within a certain period of time, does it include the Customers who have made sales orders (even if it has not yet affected their balance & other info)?

Right now based on the result I'm getting, it seems the answer is yes. If that's true, how can I (if i can at all) make it return only the Customer's whose core information (name, phone, balance, address, etc) has been altered?
