itemSearchBasic results - onhand qty not populating

I'm doing an itemSearchBasic for _assembly and _inventoryItem and getting everything I expected to get but the results are not populated with the inventory quantities.

The locationList is populated with all of the locations but the quantities are not populated for the objects in the list either.

The search has searchPreferences.bodyFieldsOnly = False and most other data items are there.

Any help would be appreciated, including just a method of getting the current total onhand quantities for each item along with its internalID
