Highlighted fields in Online Customer Form

I have created an online customer form in order to receive customer feedback. I have set some fields as "required". When I view the form on our website, some of the fields are highlighted yellow (First Name, Last Name, E-mail, Phone Number, City, State). However the highlighted fields do not correspond with the fields that I marked as required (First Name, Last Name, E-mail, Comments).

I think to avoid confusion I will just eliminate any highlighting.

How do I un-highlight fields on an online customer form?
