How do I add custom fields to my Web site???

I am trying to get a custom Transaction Body Field to show in our cart/checkout and can't seem to make this work.

On the "Applies To" tab of the Transaction Body Field set to "Sales" & "Web Store" and "Display Type" set to "Normal" but still can't seem to get it do display?

I see in the help files that it should display?
Do I need to specify any subtab for the field?

Any help would be great.
