How Do You Display Matrix Pricing?
We’ve got matrix items set up for all of our software products, where a customer selects the type of smartphone they’re using (iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, etc) and then selects the duration of their subscription (1,2,3 years). Once they’ve made both their selections, they see the price of what they’ve selected.
You can see it here: http://webstore.lexi.com/Store/Bundled-Software-Packages/Lexi-COMPLETE
As you can see from this page, until the customer makes the selections, they see a price of "$285-$570" with no context of what this is or what it relates to. Once you make your selections the price changes but until then, there’s some confusion and it could serve to put customers off by seeing a price range like this.
