Case management for multiple stores without ecommerce module?

We would like to use the helpdesk / case management features of Netsuite to support multiple stores.  We plan to use external stores via web-services.  Is it possible to present helpdesk areas that are tied to the domain (via subdomain or similar) for each one of our webstores?  Can emails be sent out (I assume using scripting) from the domain tied to the customer record?  Should we plan to rely on an external helpdesk tool instead?
