Historical Metrics not working after being turned on for over a month

We would like to see for our commercial reports a total pipeline number (i.e. Last week against this week, last month against this month) however after switching on historical metrics we can't seem to configure any KPI's to work with this.

If I select the two ranges I am interested, the most recent on works however the historical metric is greyed out and 0???

Has anyone hit this issue before?
