Customer Password Resets
We're trying to come up with a better process for our employees to manage customer records without having to manually set or reset customer passwords.
Right now, any time an existing customer's email address is changed, the password needs to be changed. Also, for new customers, if we wanted to give the customer access to our webstore, the employee would have to manually set the customer's password. We don't want employees manually setting customer passwords.
Customers are able to request a password reset online which triggers an email to the customer with a URL that directs the him or her to a password reset page.
