Adding order subtotals to reports?

We have partners working on commission, and their percentage is based off the order total before shipping/handling.  We are trying to create a report to show to them that includes the subtotal of their orders (in this case, the total before shipping and handling are added) in case they have any questions about their percentage.

Try as I might, I haven't been able to figure out a way to add subtotal to a report.  At this point I'm assuming it's not an option, unless there is some obvious choice I am missing.
